What frustrates me is when people pity themselves because of their hard times.  I suppose to a certain extent it’s probably healthy to sink into self pity for a bit. But it’s also important that you get off your ass, and accept that it happened, yeah, it sucks, and move on.

You can’t let it affect the rest of your life. Using what happened as a crutch for the rest of your life is damaging to you, and it’s frustrating to those around who only hear complaints from you.

I’ve had my fair share of shitty things in life. But i’ve also accepted these things, and let them make me a stronger person in the end.  Hello the last 4 years of my life.  And yes, i’m still working through some of it. God knows, I’m certainly not saying I’m perfect. That’s impossible. I just have learned not to use my problems as a pity-me crutch.

I don’t know. Maybe I’m being insensitive.  But with all the drama that’s coming to the surface right now, that’s just how I feel.

I hope you work through it. I really do. But it won’t happen just by seeing shrinks. You have to make an effort and not expect it to happen by magic.
